Just one week left until we say goodbye to January. I for one am happy to see slightly longer daylight hours and signs that spring is on its way.

I have woken up to see that there is light in the sky before 7am 😁; it’s a sign that the days are getting longer which makes me very happy 😁.
I took all these photos while working yesterday on what started out as a wet Friday …… never let anyone tell you that there’s no colour in our gardens in January 🌸

Happy weekend ☀️🤞

1. Camellia - this is an early variety that flowers in winter
2. Moss
3. Camellia - this is the later variety, it’s on the cusp of blooming
4. the sky clearing
5. Viburnum - this has been flowering for weeks
6. Beautiful snowdrops
7. Sun peaking through while I’m working under a Rhododendron
8. Dogwood looking like fire 🔥

On a very wet and soggy Monday I’m popping this up….. taken only last Wednesday afternoon while working at a garden local to me. It’s definitely not the most Christmassy photo, but I thought seeing a bit of sunshine might be welcome today.
