A huge congratulations to our January Employee of the Month at Queens Lodge – Jacqueline, our wonderful Home Comforts Partner 👏

Jacqueline wasn’t just chosen by management… she was nominated by residents, families AND colleagues.

She always has a smile on her face, is friendly, helpful and truly cares about everything and everyone in our home. Jacqueline is the first to step up, happily working additional hours to support the team, and takes on a huge variety of roles without hesitation.

Queens Lodge simply wouldn’t be the same without her dedication and kindness.

Thank you, Jacqueline – this is so well deserved! 🌟

National Pizza Day at Queens Lodge! 🍕🎉

We celebrated National Pizza Day with a sweet twist! 😋

Our residents got hands-on creating delicious dessert pizzas, topped with chocolate spread, Biscoff, fresh fruit and chocolate bits 🍫🍓🍌

Safe to say… they went down a treat! 👏✨

What have we been up to at Queens Lodge Nursing Home?!

We’ve had a fantastic time recently at Queens Lodge! 🎶🎹
Residents enjoyed live entertainment with singing and piano – with plenty of dancing and sing-alongs to go with it.

We also celebrated National Lego Day, getting creative with some brilliant Lego builds. Some of our residents even turned themselves into Lego mini figures!💛

Weekly Gardening Club at Queens Lodge 🌿

Our lovely residents Ann and our two Margarets have been enjoying our weekly Gardening Club, getting hands-on with some indoor planting this week 🌼

We planted chives, peppers, onions, cress, dill, basil and leeks and we’re already seeing great progress, with the dill, cress, basil and peppers beginning to grow 🌱

Starting indoors gives our plants the best chance to establish, and once they’re ready, we’ll move everything outdoors to continue their growing journey. The residents are loving watching their hard work come to life 💚

We’ve also got lots more to plant, including tomatoes, chillies and green beans - all of which will be donated to the kitchen once ready for everyone to enjoy!

Welcoming in 2026 with a bit of virtual reality! 🎆🎮

Margaret and Ann had a fantastic time trying out our virtual reality experience to kick off the new year. They enjoyed everything from a cinema-style experience and beautiful virtual landscapes to a thrilling rollercoaster ride!

What have we been up to at Queens Lodge Nursing Home? 🎉

We’ve had lots to celebrate recently at Queens Lodge!

🎂 We celebrated our lovely Rhona’s 95th birthday, and of course there was cake!
🎆 We also enjoyed a fantastic New Year’s Eve party, with plenty of music and dancing.

It’s been a great start to the new year and we’re excited for everything ahead.
