Notice of OfSted Inspection for SEND

Notification has been received from Ofsted that they are to conduct an Area SEND Inspection in Blackburn with Darwen and their inspection team will arrive on 4th December 2025 to the 12th December 2025.



The purpose of the inspection is to provide an independent, external evaluation of the effectiveness of the local areas partnership’s arrangements for children and young people with SEND and where appropriate, recommend what the local partnership should do to improve the arrangements.



Please find below links to Ofsted’s and CQC’s SEND surveys. Your views are important to the inspection as they will help inspectors understand your experience of SEND arrangements in your area.



There are 3 different survey versions, one for children and young people, one for parents/carers and one for practitioners, please follow the link below:

We have a brand new vacancy for a support worker TO WORK WITH A PERSON WITH AUTISM AND COMPLEX NEEDS . The staffing ratio would be a 2:1.

Hourly rate would be £13.68 per hr .

The area you would be working in would be in the Blackburn area, supporting someone in their own home to access the community and support with daily living .

3 days a week on a changing rota
The shifts would be starting at 9 am til 9 pm .

Total hrs per week would be 36 hrs.

Experience in working with people with Autism and challenging behaviour is essential
