Supporting local people to get the best out of health and social care services. Improving today, shaping for tomorrow.

At Healthwatch Blackburn with Darwen, your views come first – most importantly those of you that find it hardest to be heard. We are here to help those members of our communities and their families to get the best out of their local health and care services by bringing voices to those who plan and deliver services in Blackburn with Darwen. We champion what matters and work with others to find solutions.

We are independent and committed to making the biggest difference to you. We want our residents to access health and social care support that helps you to stay well, get the best out of services and manage any conditions you face on a daily basis. We play an important role bringing communities and services together. Everything we do is shaped by what you tell us. Our staff and volunteers identify what matters most to people by visiting services to see how they work and going out in the community to speak to residents and work with organisations.

Our main job is to raise your concerns with health and social care decision-makers so that they can improve support across the country. The evidence we gather also helps us recommend how policy and practice can change for the better and in Blackburn with Darwen.

Our vision at Healthwatch Blackburn with Darwen is simple - health and social care services that work for local people.
