This year’s theme is Take Action - focusing on small steps that can make a real difference to our mental health.

That could mean:
✨ One action for yourself – getting some fresh air or trying a calming technique
👥 One action for someone else – checking in or listening without judgement
🛟 One action for all of us – knowing where to get urgent mental health support in Scotland

Even if they have lots of friends or if they’re surrounded by family, they can still feel lonely, misunderstood or like they don’t fit in. And teens often feel emotions like loneliness even more strongly than adults.

On Wednesday the 13th of May between 12:30 -18:00, all practice staff will be partaking in essential training, our phone line will only be open for medical emergency's during this time. We will re-open as normal at 08:00am on the 14th of May .

Spring is here, and it’s a great time to visit the animals at a petting farm or zoo 🐐🐥

Just remember - farm animals can carry germs, so even if your hands don’t look dirty, always wash them with soap and water after touching animals or the places they’re kept 🧼

Washing your hands is the best way to protect yourself, as wipes and alcohol gels aren’t 100% effective against all germs.

PUBLIC HOLIDAY CLOSURE - Monday 4th May 2026

We wanted to let all of our patients know that the practice will be closed on Monday the 4th of May for the public holiday.

If you need medical assistance during this time, you can check NHS inform for where to get help, or call either 111 or 999 depending on your emergency if it cannot wait until we reopen on Tuesday the 5th of May 8am.

Please note we WILL be open on the public holiday date of Friday the 1st of May.
