Birchfield Residential Care Home is a family run home and we endeavour to always provide that extra ‘personal’ touch to make our Home as friendly and welcoming as possible whilst providing the highest possible standard of care and cleanliness within its calm and luxurious surroundings. The property dates back to the 1890’s and was originally two residential properties; The Willows, which was a vicarage, and Wellfield. The sympathetic conversion in 1987 to a Residential Care Home has meant that the building has retained most of its original features and all of its character and charm. It is set in its own grounds and is surrounded by beautiful, towering trees thus affording it a very private aspect. The Home is situated in a highly sought after residential area of Blackburn, Lancashire, near to Witton Country Park and within easy reach of Blackburn town centre and the local amenities. Birchfield Residential Care Home, Blackburn, Lancashire is a luxury Residential Care Home of the highest quality but we pride ourselves on maintaining very affordable accommodation. You are very welcome to visit Birchfield and we will be pleased to show you around, introduce you to our staff and give you the opportunity to become acquainted with our Home so that you can see how we can satisfy the needs of you or your family member as and when a room becomes available.

It’s always wonderful to see our residents, along with their friends and families, joining in and having fun with the activities. These sessions are always a highlight, and everyone looks forward to James coming in.

Yesterday, our amazing team — from our domestics, cooks and carers to our senior staff — worked incredibly hard to ensure our residents enjoyed a truly wonderful Christmas Day, filled with laughter, fun, and festive cheer. ❤️🎅
Our staff always strive to deliver a person-centred approach, making sure everyone feels included, valued, and celebrated — and they certainly did that yesterday. A huge well done to the whole team for creating such a special and memorable day for our residents. 👏🌟
We hope everyone had a fantastic time and made lots of lovely Christmas memories with us! 🎁🎄
