                                            It’s just a t-shirt right?
It’s a little creased from shipping and it could look a Hell of a lot better than it does, but does that make it less impactful?
Being sick (chronically or not) you can possibly relate a little. You could probably look so much better, less tired, more interactive and energetic, maybe you should smile more and people will appreciate you, what ever the reason we’ve probably heard it 1000s of times.
But, they don’t know how much it took to be there, to show up, to paint the mask to the world and try and grin through the pain, when you body is locked in eternal combat with itself 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
I am not perfect, the Chronic Edge is not perfect, because when it comes to sickness, life can never be perfect but it’s more about finding those shiny little sparks of happiness and happiness doesn’t have to be perfect, it can be messy, weird, cute and crazy, and more than that, it’ll always be a little creased.
But even if it is, it’ll be worlds away from the darkness and despair that a life without hope for happiness and a future of solitude wrapping yourself in cotton wool, hoping to survive long enough for a cure that might never come so you can live the life you want.
Why wait?
Your goal for 2024/25 doesn’t have to be to scale Mt. Everest in a pair of Bermuda shorts, it could be as simple (for some) to spend less days in bed, that’s ok, and that’s how I got started too.
So remember, we are all a little creased but we can still be Badassess and make an impact on this world, have an awesome day🤘
