✨ We were full of the joys of Spring this week, as we skipped into the community centre in the sunshine and read 'Rabbit Said No' by Marjoke Henrichs ✨

🐰 The children made some very cute newspaper rabbits on the craft table with string, buttons and goggly eyes 🐰

💐 They also enjoyed playing in the tuff tray which was filled with lovely Spring flowers and animals 💐

✨ This week we celebrated our lovely Mummies and all the wonderful they do for us by reading a story called 'Mummy and Me' by Lydia Bright ✨

🎨 We all tried our very best to make some pretty handprint Mother's Day cards ready to gift to our Mummies this Mothering Sunday - some children were more cooperative than others 🎨

🌺 Once again we were joined by Vicky from Active Blackpool, who helped all children with their floristry skills to put together mini bouquet to take home 🌺

✨ This week we celebrated World Book Day at Little Stars with a Pepper Pig Picnic Party and a story called 'One Big Family', gifted to all our children by National Literacy Trust in Blackpool ✨

🐽 The children got to pack up a pretend picnic and share it with theirs grown ups, and do some lovely Pepper Pig colouring sheets on the craft table 🐽

⭐️ We also had Active Blackpool with us once more to assist with a game of 'Pin the Tail on Pepper' ⭐️

🧺 There were also lots of different sized tubs and lids set up for the children to enjoy hiding the Pepper Pig characters in before we enjoyed a real picnic for lunch 🧺

Community Day Success at Claremont Park Centre

Today we were delighted to welcome staff from Nationwide’s Clifton Street Branch to Claremont Park Centre as part of their Community Days.

The team prepared, cooked and served a delicious meal of cottage pie with mixed vegetables, followed by apple strudel and custard, for our Friendship Group — and they even stayed to wash up afterwards!

We can’t thank them enough for their continued support in helping us deliver activities that provide both food provision and opportunities to reduce social isolation in our community. Your time, care and generosity truly make a difference. 💙
