Rachel has worked in care for many years but also has a marketing degree, which she is putting to good use.

In her spare time she enjoys powerlifting at the gym. She is, infact, a 4 x British Powerlifting Champion, and can lift upto 35stone!!!! I know!!!!

Who IS she?

Hi I am Debbie!
I am a Care Ambassador at Apollo.
I moved to Blackpool 2 years ago and have worked for Apollo near enough ever since.
I love my job and love to see the difference we make in peoples lives, helping them to live as independently as possible and the relationships we build with our clients and families.
Before Apollo I worked in hospitality for over 15 years as a Catering Assistant in schools and working my way up to Chef and Catering Manager in restaurants, so anything I don't know about food and food safety isn't worth knowing 😜
I have run 2 pubs and owned a chippy years ago.
I have 7 wonderful kids and 10 grandkids who I love with all my heart ❤️
I try to make time for all of them which is really difficult as most of them live in Manchester.
I enjoy family time and love my holidays. I usually have at least 3 abroad holidays a year and have travelled and stayed all over the uk, mainly doing road trips with my sister.
I love music and going out socialising. Bit of a foodie, enjoy eating out and trying different places. I also love a good film on Netflix surround by snacks and maybe a little drink!
One thing I would really like to do is a sky dive.. watch this space 😎

Meet the Apollo team ... 🤝
Who IS she?

Born in Blackpool, I’m a proud self-confessed nerd with a love for all things sci-fi and fantasy — especially Harry Potter. Outside of work, I share my life with my wonderful partner Hazel of 11 years, three amazing adult stepchildren, and three beautiful step-granddaughters whom I absolutely adore. At home, I’m also kept busy (and happy!) by my five gorgeous dogs. Being a huge animal lover, they’re a big part of my world.

I’ve been a carer for over four years and currently have the privilege of supporting an incredible gentleman with a rare genetic condition. One of my proudest moments in care was seeing him walk again for the first time in over seven years — knowing I played even a small part in that achievement was truly unforgettable.

Since joining Apollo Care six months ago, I can honestly say it’s the best care provider I’ve ever worked for. The management and office team are supportive, professional, and genuinely care about both the staff and the clients — which makes such a difference every day. I’m passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care, and I love being part of a team that shares the same values.

Alongside my work in care, I’ve been a dance coach and choreographer with Stagecoach Theatre Schools for over 15 years, teaching students aged 7–18. It’s a role I absolutely love, and recently our students even had the chance to perform in London’s West End — an amazing experience for all involved. Before teaching, I worked as a professional dancer and choreographer, performing across the UK as well as in Japan, Portugal, and Africa.

Caring and creativity have always been at the heart of everything I do, and I’m proud to bring that passion into my role with Apollo Care every day 💞
