Job Description
This position involves supporting Young People aged 16+ living within our semi-independent setting. The support given will be based around a living package of structured key work outline by Coastal care Solutions where the residential staff will conduct sessions to support young people moving from childhood to adulthood. These sessions will aim to promote the life skills needed to the young people.

***KEY DUTIES INCLUDE ***
Support our young people with everyday tasks such as cooking and cleaning, appointments, meetings etc
Build and develop good relationships with our young people and encourage them to participate in the opportunities offered within the homes and external environments.
Contributing to the support and independent living skills needs of young people in co-operation with other team members. To follow and be aware of the Individual needs of the young person, their support plans and individual risk assessments.
To record in the young person’s logs throughout your shift an actual factual account of the shift and the activities of the young people.
Conduct key work sessions with young people and produce reports for each session.
To ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of each young person and that safeguarding procedures are followed at all times 
Build strong working relationships with external agencies such as Local Authorities and other Health/ Social Professionals.
Have an understanding of, and to follow the required policies, processes and procedures; and ensure that they are being adhered to.
To undertake a wide range of administrative tasks whilst on duty, including filing and typing within the Unit as delegated by Management and during handover.
To ensure that the environment of the home is maintained by undertaking and completing a range of cleaning duties as instructed in terms of promoting good hygiene practice, health and safety and cleanliness.
Attend staff meetings and training sessions as and when required
Job Requirements
Be able to work 15-hour shifts plus sleep in and will include evenings, weekends, bank holidays in a flexible way to meet the needs of the company and young people.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: £9.50 to £10.50 /hour
Experience:
Support Environment: 1 year (Preferred)
NVQ Level 3 RESIDENTIAL CHILDCARE & EQUIVALENT (preferred)
Must be able to pass a DBS
