Victim mentality leaks into your life in more ways than one.
For me I started to recognise the paradox of wanting to be understood but erased myself to stop other people feeling discomfort.

That is no longer the case. I don’t care who likes me, who thinks I’m cringe, who thinks I’m too much (or not enough)

This is why shadow work is so important. In order to understand others you must first understand yourself. There is no greater teacher than the one in the mirror.

Victimhood/ martyrdom are deeply engrained traits/ wounds in most of us. The only way to overcome it and understand it is to be honest with yourself.

The shadow does not like being visible that’s why it causes havoc from… well… the shadows lol. You can prize it out and face it. Just get comfortable with being uncomfortable in order to do it. Then you’ll set yourself free.

Remember we can only meet others as deeply as we’ve met ourselves. The moment you stop self sensoring and being authentic with who you are you change the game. You no longer feel triggered by other peoples discomfort and you have the capacity to hold your own.
