After begging me for a facial for weeks I finally caved. I’ve always refused because he never follows my aftercare 😀

For someone who has barely ever used skincare products & never worn SPF, a HUGE collagen surge was needed 🤣

I carried out Radio Frequency Skin Tightening, Microneedling with a skin booster that I am trialing, which is one of if not THEEE best currently on the market and also a new pre-treatment resurfacing peel scrub, which is an absolute game changer.

The inflammatory process has begun to trigger a healing & repairing response, hence the redness. The skin is plumper, tighter, firmer and beginning the process to produce tonnes more collagen over the next few weeks 🙌🏼

He has strict aftercare instructions including daily SPF that I will be forcing him to follow & apply 🤣

What a year it’s been! 🎉 my busiest one to date in 9 whole years 🫶🏼

The year I impulsively converted my garage at home into a work space and it’s been the best decision I ever made 💕

I’ve had so many new clients this year, mainly from recommendations which I am forever grateful of. And of course all my regular loyalty clients who continue to trust me with their skin 💕

There’s been tonnes of skin transformations especially Acne, Rosacea, Damaged Skin Barrier & Pigmentation transformations! And i continue to research new techniques, products, protocols & update my knowledge constantly.

This year I have also taken more time for myself, stopped working as many weekends through the summer months and spent more time making memories with friends & family, lots of camping, beach trips, days out, trips away & more time making memories 🫶🏼

Also this has been the year I fully changed my diet & the difference I have seen in my skin has been incredible, something which I now always relay and advise to clients with skin issues. No processed food, everything from scratch 🙌🏼

I can’t wait to see what 2026 has in store for me 🙌🏼

Why I won’t be offering the viral “Glass Skin Facial”

One of the latest trends so many therapists are offering is the Glass Skin Facial. When in reality this is just a facial (sometimes with excess exfoliation damaging the skin barrier) with tonnes of oil applied at the end and a good ring light, which gives good content photos and a temporary artificial glow! Once the oil is washed off, the glow is also gone.

This photo is an example mid-facial, with ZERO products on the skin. The skin is naturally glowing, due to gentle exfoliation, correct techniques & good knowledge, all whilst still supporting the skin barrier ensuring it is in optimal condition.

So please don’t fall for any “Glass Skin Facials” and always choose your therapist wisely. Your skin barrier health should be the main priority always 🫶🏼

One of the biggest mistakes I see in clinic is clients overly stripping their skin causing a damaged skin barrier, which then leads to breakouts ❌

Signs Your Skin Barrier Is Damaged
• Persistent dryness or peeling
• Burning or stinging sensations
• Redness or blotchiness
• Tight feeling even after moisturizing
• Sudden sensitivity to products
• More frequent breakouts or irritation

My client has been using a well known VERY expensive brand which is often retailed in a lot of skin clinics (blue packaging🙄)
We stripped her routine back to another brand which focuses on repairing and nourishing the skin with non pore clogging ingredients less than £20 per product, and low and behold breakouts have stopped!

The more expensive the product does not mean it is any better for your skin. It’s all about knowing how the skin works, finding the root cause of skin issues and ensuring the skin barrier is in optimal condition, otherwise your skin will just not work how it should!

Next stop for my client is Microneedling, now her skin barrier is repaired and breakouts have stopper, we will not work on improving skin tone & texture 🙌🏼
