We are incredibly proud to share that Louise Allan has secured a place in the National Finals of the WorldSkills UK Skills Competition Programme, competing in the highly respected Beauty Therapy Practitioner category.

These competitions are designed to spotlight the UK’s most talented and driven individuals across a wide range of technical and professional disciplines. Louise has demonstrated exceptional skill, professionalism, and dedication — standing out among hundreds of competitors to become one of just 8 national finalists in her field.

Her achievement is a testament to her hard work and passion for her craft, and we are honoured to support her as she prepares for the finals.

Summer is the perfect time for our talented beauty therapy team to refresh their skills and upskill using our brand new EVE machines! ✨ These state-of-the-art machines use advanced technology to gently resurface, deeply cleanse, and help lift and tone the skin.

Today’s refresher course was packed with exciting treatments, including:

💧 Hydradermabrasion – deep cleansing and intense hydration

💎 Diamond Peeling (Microdermabrasion) – gentle skin resurfacing for a smoother, brighter complexion

⚡ Microcurrent Therapy – re-igniting skin cell metabolism, stimulating micro-circulation, boosting lymphatic drainage, and regulating muscle tonus for healthier, revitalised skin

💪 Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) – a ‘training session’ for the facial muscles, designed to deliver a visible lifting effect and improved muscle tone

We can’t wait to introduce this incredible technology to our returning beauty therapy students and clients in the upcoming academic year! A huge thank you to Tracey from for providing today’s inspiring and comprehensive training. 🌸

🌟 Thank You, Tia’s Crown! 🌟

We were incredibly proud to be invited to support the amazing Dance Floor Heroes event – a spectacular evening where amateur dancers took to the stage to raise money for Tia's Crown charity - Strictly Come Dancing-style, after just 12 weeks of training! 💃🕺

Our talented B&FC Hair and Beauty students were thrilled to provide hair and makeup for the performers, helping them feel confident and shine on stage. 💄✨

But this wasn’t just a night of glitz and glamour – Dance Floor Heroes is a powerful fundraising event created and organised by the inspiring team at Tia’s Crown, a charity dedicated to supporting mental and physical wellbeing through dance. 💚

We’re so grateful to have been part of something so meaningful. Thank you again to Tia’s Crown for having us – we can’t wait to support your incredible mission again in the future! 💖

Last week, we celebrated their amazing achievements with a BBQ and awards ceremony at the stunning Level 6 restaurant. 🌟

Each student was nominated as the top of their class in their specific area — a true testament to their talent and dedication.

Special recognition goes to Jasmine Brooksbank, who received our prestigious Excellence Award as the overall winner for hair, nails and beauty. Well done, Jasmine! 👏
