Following their station at Blackpool Jobs Fair, The JobCentrePlus mobile drop-in service will be delivering support to communities across the Fylde Coast, including right here in Blackpool, to break down the barriers that stop people from finding good work. 💼

They’ll be parked up ready to support residents at Claremont Park Community Centre from 10am - 3pm on the 16th, 23rd, and 30th March.

Support includes local job opportunities, training courses and apprenticeships as well as other options when leaving education, interview preparation, CV support and work search guidance, benefit advice and support if you are working with a health condition.

Drop in for free support and advice, no appointment needed. Pop along, call in at the van, and have a chat with the DWP team on hand.

Dear Residents and Neighbours,

Over the past year our St Pauls Medical Centre surgery staff have encountered 12 troubling incidents involving the deliberate tampering of their vehicle tires. In some cases tires were let down, in others screws, drill bit and nails were embedded.

In one very serious instance this tampering caused a tire blowout on the motorway. This could have resulted in a fatal accident and we are extremely fortunate that no one was gravely injured.

This is a matter of criminal behaviour and severe safety risk. We want to make a heartfelt and firm appeal to our community - Please help us put an end to this. 🌈

Our staff are dedicated to caring for you and they deserve to feel safe when they come to work. This kind of tampering is not only unlawful, it could lead to tragedy. We are working closely with law enforcement and will not tolerate these acts.

Please let us know If you have any information or if the individual responsible is reading this, we urge you to stop immediately.
