"In January 2022, I applied for a role with Westmorland Homecare and was delighted to receive an email inviting me for an interview. From that first meeting through to the excellent training that followed, I immediately felt part of a highly supportive and professional team.

After several months working out in the community, an opportunity arose to move into the role of Business Administrator. I have been based in the office since August 2022 and continue to enjoy supporting the wider team and the work we do."

Our Story

Westmorland Homecare was founded by Doctors Josh Macaulay and Chris Moss with Director Russell Crossley. They had experience of caring for people in their NHS roles as an A&E doctor and Anaesthetist as well as family experience but wanted to help people more than just whilst in hospital.

Going into hospital can be a scary experience for anyone and the feeling of getting back home is like no other. As they say, there’s no place like home. We saw people come into hospital after having poor care at home and saw people who couldn’t return to their own homes because the right support wasn’t available for them. This was when Westmorland Homecare was born.

Our service was founded in the lake district and has now grown to cover Cumbria and Lancashire.
