Please find the current list of confirmed groups on the run up to the end of the the new year. Including a teaser of our new Young Volunteer-lead Intergeneration group.

Please note that our regular groups are on as normal:

Monday's at Forest Gate Baptist Church from 1pm
Wednesday's at Kincraig Community Centre from 10am
Friday's at the Volunteer Centre from 10am

🌟 We’d love your support in nominating our Project Lead, Pauline Winder, for the Fylde Community Awards – Community Champion! 🌟

Pauline has dedicated so much of her time and energy to helping those who are lonely and isolated, always going the extra mile to make sure no one feels forgotten. 💙 Her kindness and commitment have made a real difference in people’s lives.

Not only that, Pauline has been a huge inspiration for young people across Blackpool and the Fylde, encouraging and supporting them to get involved in volunteering. She’s helped show the next generation how rewarding it is to give back, and her passion is creating a lasting impact in our community. 🙌

✨ Today we held our very first Gentle Exercise session with our lovely Participant Support Officer, Rachel – who also happens to be a qualified fitness instructor!

Everyone joined in at their own pace, and afterwards we relaxed together with a cuppa and a good chat. ☕💬

If you’d like to come along, our next session is Tuesday at 1pm, Holy Cross Church, Central Drive, Blackpool. Just get in touch to complete your PAR-Q form.

🌟 Young Volunteers Wanted! 🌟

Here at BFriend and Well-being, we’re looking for enthusiastic young volunteers aged 11–17 to help at our brand-new Saturday morning intergenerational group.

We’re so proud of our longest-serving young volunteer, Lily, who has shared her inspiring volunteering journey. Today, she’s presenting her story at school. Through her volunteering with us, Lily gained the confidence to apply for – and achieve – her role as Head of the Student Care Team at school. 💫

One of our amazing volunteers, Sue, had a very nasty accident 7 weeks ago and has shown incredible courage following her leg amputation. We are so proud of the strength she has shown on her road to recovery.

Our wonderful friendship group participants rallied around to make and send Sue get well cards, showing the true power of kindness and support. 💙

This is true friendship in action 🧡

.. you've got all this and more at today's special one-off meditation & mindfulness workshop at this week's Pick & Mix Pals group. Come along to Holy Cross Church, Central Drive from 1pm to 3pm, for a very calming & relaxing afternoon social!

All ages & abilities welcome - no charges & no booking required - just bring yourself and a willingness to get in *the zone*! 💆🏻‍♀️

We're inviting YOU to come and join us for our FREE, FUN and FRIENDLY activity group, in the heart of Blackpool. Taking place every Tuesday, 1pm to 3pm at Holy Cross Church, on Central Drive.

This week's session will be the final session of our 'art' block, and we'll be looking at different methods for scenery and landscapes. Next week (9th of September), we'll have a very relaxing one-off session, all about mindfulness and meditation, with an opportunity for you to give it a go for yourself and to learn about the potential health benefits.
