Healthy living is a balance of many things, and although I do wish *everyone* Peace this Easter, I thought I'd share this fab short from about healthy anger.
Being attuned with emotions and able to channel them appropriately is a powerful skill, and very human.
Healthy anger isn't about lashing out or hurting others. It's about recognising when something doesn't feel right, having the awareness to identify the trigger (eg crossed boundary or unmet need), and the courage to action that constructively.
When we ignore or suppress anger, it doesnโt disappearโฆ it tends to leak out sidewaysโas resentment, anxiety, tension, or disconnection. Turned inwards, anger can make us very ill indeed. Spiritual work can help us learn how to witness and release long held anger.
Used wisely, anger can become a tool for honesty, self-respect and healthier relationships.
Peace doesn't mean the absence of anger, it means knowing what to do when it appears - for a higher purpose.
Wishing you an Easter that rebirths brilliant aspects of your Self ๐๐ ๐
