One sound bath can feel like a balm.
A regular practice allows the medicine deepen 🌟

Just as going to the gym once won’t make you fit and strong or eating one healthy meal won’t nourish you for weeks. One sound bath can feel wonderfully soothing but to change the patterns underneath, repetition is key.

When you have a regular practice something else begins to happen.
The nervous system starts to recognise this calm as a new pattern, the body settles more easily, there’s less resistance to stillness and you start to process more effectively.

Over time, these effects gather and you notice your sleep is deeper and more restorative, you’re less reactive, your emotions are more balanced, you deal with stress more effectively, you can hear intuitive whispers, you start to feel like yourself, that authentic feeling sticks around and you’re more grounded and present without effort.

This is why I call it Medicine for Modern Living. It’s a steady nourishment that builds quietly in the background, not forcing change, just offering the body a consistent environment where it can reorganise itself naturally.

Let sound be your medicine this year 💛

This incredible place was my adventure destination yesterday afternoon.

St Aldhelms Chapel is on the south west coast path, a 45 minute walk from Winspit Quarry. The history of this unique building is a bit of a mystery….was it built as a chapel, a chantry or a lookout ? There’s no altar, it’s not oriented to the east/west, it’s square, there’s only one tiny window, the cross on top is dated much later than the building and is said to have replaced a beacon.

It feels church like. It looks church like. Was it an energy centre? The central column feels super important, like it’s creating a toroidal field. An ancient technology, I have no doubt.

There has been record of a building there since the 13th century. The markings on the central channel are fascinating and some dates can still be seen, like 1665!!!!

SOUND ON 🔉

I couldn’t be more content than sitting in a pile of hay on a frosty, sun drenched morning, listening to the horses munch munch munching.

This sound actually signals safety to our system 😮 If a horse is relaxed, healthy, and feels no threat they will happily eat and rest all day long. If they sense a threat they will stop eating as their system is preparing to flee or fight. Our primal instincts know this.

So there is method to my madness!!!
It also smells amazing and I get to be with my favourite boys, chillin in the sunshine 😎

I bimbled off to bother some churches today and found these 2 stunners 🤩

St Mary’s at Long Critchel and All Saints at Gussage All Saints. Both so full of lightness, the sun beaming in through the delicate colours of the glass windows sending light codes throughout the buildings. Just fu***ng glorious!

Join me, Vikki, from Seymour Sound Therapy for my regular monthly Sunday Soother Sound Bath at Embrace Yoga Studios Wimborne just off Mill Lane, on Sunday 25th Jan at 10.30am-12pm.

Nestled right next to the river, we cosy up under the heat lamps, with mats, bolsters and blankets provided. All you need to do is turn up, lie down and rest.

The sounds can guide you effortlessly into a meditative state where your system regulates, your breath slows, and your body relaxes.

Some people see colours, pictures or shapes behind their eyelids. Some lose track of space and time, or feel floaty, some receive solutions to problems and get creative ideas. Pain can be reduced through release of tension in the body, headaches disappear, belief patterns can change and sleep can become deeper and more restorative.

And some people just rest, no frills or fancy experiences , just relaxing rest.

Come with a curious mind. Be open to whatever may arise for you that day. Every sound bath is different.

Feeling super duper GRATEFUL and then some for everyone who came to this mornings NYE sound bath.

Woweeeeee it was a blessing to hold the biggest room full of people so far in my space holding experience, A year ago I would have crumbled in a terrified mess at the prospect !!

Celebrating myself and the growth I have been shown today.

Imagine how it would be to start this new calendar year from a place of rest rather than urgency. From softness rather than forcing.

Perhaps this year isn’t about becoming someone new, but remembering how it feels to be at home in yourself.

A quiet resolve to self love. To be the change you wish to see, by tending your inner landscape first because everything begins within you.The pace you choose, the tone you set, the way you meet the world.
