Whilst cold weather can affect any of us, some people are more vulnerable, especially young children, older people, and those with a long-term health condition.
We're urging everyone to take extra of themselves and look out for loved ones during colder temperature spells with these simple steps:
❄ Check in on others – keep connected with family and friends regularly, make sure they have everything they need to stay warm, well and safe, including food and medicines.
❄ Stay warm – try to heat your home to at least 18 degrees if you can, especially the rooms you spend most of your time in and don't sit still for more than an hour. Try to move around the house and make a hot drink.
❄ Keep moving – try to keep active by doing the activities you enjoy and getting out and about when it's safe to do so.
