“I feel so calm just being in here, I’ve been to places before but never felt this relaxed”

This was during our chat before I started my clients treatment. I get this comment a lot and it honestly makes me so happy.

What is it ?

A 60 minute restorative facial to support both skin health and nervous system regulation.

It’s a gentle treatment that combines the powerful action of manual lymphatic drainage alongside guasha and cupping. These techniques encourage the flow of stagnant lymph supporting the skins natural detoxification process which can help to reduce inflammation, puffiness, ease congestion, increase circulation, reduce facial tension & pressure whilst encouraging a natural sculpting effect over time.

It includes neck massage to stimulate the vagus nerve by relaxing the muscles and soft tissues around the back of the neck……but why this? • CANCELLATION POLICY •

I find this really hard and I’ve tried so many times to stick to my own policies but failed miserably 😩 I go in with emotion and tell everyone who needs to cancel ach it’s fine these things happen etc etc when actually its not fine and it impacts on my income which in turn causes me to stress out and worry.

Some people have a real issue with these types of policies and I’m guilty of having my own issues trying to enforce them but I need to start being quite strict about it now. The way I see it is if I book a treatment with a therapist and something comes up at my end wether it be sickness or me being late (if you know me you know 😂) and I can’t make it then I lose the money and I’m totally fine with that because that’s the policy. It’s my responsibility to get to my appointment or cancel within the time frame set out.

I honestly HATE social media, quite funny because here I am about to rant. Some of the things I see other therapists do on socials that make me want to run head first into a wall. “Influencing” and making stuff TREND for all the wrong reasons really really really grinds my gears.

Recent episodes of therapist cringe moments:

Lymphatic treatments with 5” nails - naw ! Stop it 🤚 you are not getting manual lymphatic drainage off anyone who has nails above their finger tips, don’t waste your money.

Bangles, watches and rings…RINGS 😳😳 the bacteria that these harbour is boak material, never mind how unprofessional it is to have jewellery near clients faces during a treatment.

Snapping and closing fingers and nails, click click clickety cliiiiiiiiiiick. This drives me mental

The words LITERALLY and OBSESSED…..I caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaant deal anymore.

Prioritising profit over client care 😢 It’s not cool

A solo coffee date.

Things that have changed in me with age

Confidence has grown
F***s have evaporated
I speak my mind more
If I’m scared I do it anyway
Stopped second guessing myself
I do not care what others think of me
My pattern recognition is off the scale

Going out solo is something I do a lot, years ago I would have laughed and told myself to behave, I mean who would actively choose to sit alone.

Me.

So this is my regular (54) who shall remain anonymous but I have full permission to post 😂

Said anonymous client comes to me for regular Manual Lymphatic Drainage treatment every 4 -6 weeks to support her health and wellbeing. She especially loves her MLD just prior to her holidays like the one above.

She mailed me this pic this morning telling me how good her arse and legs looked, no cellulite in sight and that she felt absolutely amazing throughout her holiday and beyond.

MLD is a brilliant treatment, it’s been around for years and years but has become the in buzz word at the moment . I first learnt about it 20 years ago when working with cancer patients. It’s not about being snatched and battered about stupid with wooden tools.
