Ear irrigation success. Treatment for a person who is due a hearing aid fitting next week. However we discovered some cotton wool deep into the ear canal in one ear, and a huge plug of wax in the other. This person already suffers reduced hearing. However with some gentle irrigation and some teasing out the cotton wool, the patient is left with more comfort reported improve hearing immediately after treatment ☺️. This is a good reminder not to put anything into your ears including cotton wool. The olive oil will be absorbed by the cotton wool and no benefit will be felt.
