At Ross Fraser Funeral Directors, we are reminded daily of how precious life truly is.
It’s not a rehearsal.
We don’t get to rewind or re-record the moments we’ve missed, but we can be present, cherish those we love, and make the most of the time we have together.

Let’s honour life by living it fully and loving deeply.

A lovely Friday evening at Kinneil Bowling Club for their Hat Night event 🎩
From supporting the club as sponsors to now actually playing 😊it’s been great fun getting involved.
I even picked up my own set of bowls (pink case included 💖)!
Thank you to whoever was selling them, they’ll be well looked after ☺️

There was a brilliant mix of people there, from the young to those proudly 21 again 😄
The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of laughs.

If anyone fancies giving bowls a try, please get in touch with Kinneil Bowling & Social Club, you’ll be made very welcome!

We’re proud to support this fantastic local club and community.

We’d Love Your Thoughts 💬☕🍰

At Ross Fraser Funeral Directors, we’re always looking for ways to support and connect with our local community, not just in times of loss, but in everyday life too.

We’ve been thinking about opening our doors once a month for a community coffee morning at our town centre premises.
A relaxed space with tea, homemade cakes, and good company, open to anyone who might appreciate a chat, a seat, or just a change of scene.

As we head into the colder months, we thought this could gently evolve into a “Soup & a Cuppa” style get together, and if it’s well received, possibly become a fortnightly fixture.

We’d love to hear your thoughts.
Would you come along?
Do you think it’s something the community would enjoy or benefit from?

Please feel free to comment or message us. Your feedback is appreciated ✨

💜 Say Their Name 💜

As we’ve talked with many bereaved parents over the years, there’s one thing we hear time and time again,

“People don’t say their name anymore.”

It’s as though their child never existed. A silence that can be louder than words. The truth is, for so many parents, hearing their child’s name spoken out loud is a gift. It reminds them their child is remembered, loved, and still very much part of this world.

Speaking from experience, I can wholeheartedly agree.
Our son Ritchie was born sleeping 👼. And while we knew people meant well, the way his name was avoided, like it might cause more pain, was incredibly difficult to bear.

What many don’t realise is:
✨ We want to hear their name.
✨ We love when you share a memory or story.
✨ We are already thinking of them, every single day.

So if you’re ever unsure, say their name. Remember them with us.
It’s not reminding us of loss,
it’s reminding us of love. 💜🫂💜

🌿 Gratitude & Remembrance 🌿

On days like today, when the sun graces us with warmth and the world feels especially beautiful, we’re reminded to pause, to breathe it in and be thankful.

But even in the brightness, our hearts gently hold the memory of those we’ve loved and lost.
They may not walk beside us, but they’re never far from our thoughts. Their stories, their laughter, and their love live on in the quiet moments, the shared glances, and the peaceful skies.

As we cherish the gift of today, we also honour those who made our yesterdays so meaningful 💚

💭 Some days are just harder than others…
When the absence feels heavier and the memories hit harder.
This image speaks for so many — those quiet moments where we just long for one more hug, one more reassuring word.

At Ross Fraser Funeral Directors, we understand that grief isn’t linear. Whether it’s been days, months, or years, the love and the longing remain.

You’re not alone.
We’re here whenever you need us. 💙

With care,
Ross
