DEAR RE-JOINING MEMBER

It's the start of possibly the busiest week of the year and I just wanted to add something to the mix. This post is for all you members out there who are 'thinking' of rejoining my groups or anyone's Slimming World group this and next week.

And in 'thinking' I mean you saying to yourself "oh my goodness, I haven't been in ages, and I have put all the weight I lost back on, I have rejoined so many times now, I am a disgrace, a loser, I'm terrified that they will think I am pathetic".

These feelings are what keep us down but rest assured that in our, and EVERY single Slimming World group across the land, that you will be welcomed back with a smile and open arms like you're an old friend. And MOST importantly there is no shame, blame or humiliation (as these are dirty words in our world)!

So, re-joining members everywhere, pick yourself up, dust yourself off and prove to yourself (as nobody else really matters) what you're made of and who knows, 2023 could be the year of your life!

I can not tell you how proud I am of each and every One of my members who is hanging in there ❤

When so many of us have a relationship with food/drink that has seen us not always making the best of choices then December really can be tricky, so very tricky.

Checking in every week in your Slimming World group isn't just about losing weight, it is about help, support, understanding and empathy from people who get that now might be just about surviving until the new year when our path ahead will be clearer.

Plus let's face it then braving the scales once every 7 days is much less scary than facing them after several weeks 😉 xx
