Hi All!! As some of you know, last year I was diagnosed with ‘Cervical Myeolopathy’, a condition where the cervical vertebrae in my neck are pressing on my spinal cord. (See pic)
This has caused my legs and feet to have only partial feeling. Although I am not in any pain, it has been very difficult walking and keeping my balance the last year!!
Sadly, if my condition worsens, there is a chance that it could progress to where I’m paralysed from the neck down - so it needs to be sorted.
On the 29th April, I will be travelling to Southampton Hospital to undergo an ‘Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion’. (ACDF). Naturally this is somewhat serious spinal surgery and I will be recovering at home initially for a month or so and taking it easy the rest of the year until it’s healed. I wont be able to drive or do much for up to 6 weeks and I won’t be at the Foodbank. Not doing much will play havoc with the ADHD,
but when I can, I will keep y’all up to date with some funny pics etc.. Wish me luck! 😂😁👍
