Perhaps you’re experiencing difficult thoughts and feelings and feel overwhelmed at the moment. Hello, and thank you for considering therapy. If you've found yourself here, it's likely because you or someone close to you is going through something difficult. Maybe you're facing emotional challenges right now, or perhaps unresolved experiences from the past are weighing you down. If life is making you feel sad, anxious or depressed and you’ve reached the point where having someone to listen would help, then I would like to invite you to come along for some counselling. Having therapy can be the first step in making positive changes to your life, resulting in a happier you. Together we can work through what is upsetting you. No problem is too small or silly if it is having a negative impact on your well being. Your story is important. I will listen, ask questions, and try to understand how your experiences are affecting your life. Feeling heard can really reduce your stress levels and make you feel lighter. People with no emotional intelligence will believe anything they’re told about you without ever hearing your side of the story. They’ll fight battles they know nothing about. They’ll act cold toward you based on someone else’s narrative.

In families, this is called triangulation — pulling a third person into a conflict to turn them against you.

Outside the family, it shows up in other forms:
Smear campaigns.
Character assassination.
Reputation sabotage.
Gossip-based manipulation.

Different names, same intention:
to isolate you, control the narrative, and make others see you through their lens.

But worry not, beloved.
Because if someone can believe a version of you they never confirmed with you…they were never your people to begin with.
