With 15 years experience as a Chiropractor, I have a wealth of experience and knowledge about working with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions (problems with joints, muscles, nerves, bones). I chose to deregister as a Chiropractor last year, as my practice has now taken a different, gentler, route. Over the years I've looked into many different approaches and techniques, both as a therapist and as a client. I've now settled primarily on a more subtle approach that works in harmony with the body's natural healing mechanisms, to enable regions of the body that are stuck/tense/held/painful to release and let go. This gentle approach is also very helpful for conditions that are longstanding, or where there has been an element of trauma (either physical or emotional), or where the individual is also suffering from things like anxiety, stress or depression (as this approach helps to regulate the nervous system). I prefer an empowering approach - which means I like to help put you back in the driving seat of your body and your health, to feel positive and in charge. I particularly enjoy working with people who want to know more! I also have plans for the future for small group workshops and classes on a range of subjects. I work with people of all ages and backgrounds, with all sorts of physical aches and pains. One of the things I enjoy most about my work is meeting & getting to know so many different people! I previously set up a multidisciplinary clinic in Clay Cross in 2009, which I grew into a successful & highly regarded clinic, which received referrals from local GPs. I sold this last year as I wished to 'down size', slow down, and work closer to home... and so my new little clinic in Bolsover was born!
