🟣 𝗗𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗩𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵: 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗲

Stalking is any repeated, unwanted behaviour or contact that causes you to feel distressed and/or fearful for your safety.

This can occur in the context of a domestic abuse relationship or be carried out by someone who is unknown to the victim.

Stalking can have profound effects on physical and mental wellbeing, resulting in conditions such as anxiety, PTSD, and depression.

🚨 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗥 🚨

When someone reports experiencing stalking behaviour on two or more occasions, it is important to review whether the contact is:

• 𝗙𝗶𝘅𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱
• 𝗢𝗯𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲
• 𝗨𝗻𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱
• 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱

These are strong indicators of concerning behaviour and a signal that the person should seek professional advice.

ℹ️ Examples of stalking behaviours can include (but are not limited to):

• 𝗕𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻
• 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱
• 𝗕𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘂𝗻𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗴𝗶𝗳𝘁𝘀
• 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗻𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗯𝘆 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲, 𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮
• 𝗕𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻

📞📞📞 The Hub – First Point of Contact 📞📞📞

The Hub is the single point of contact for Derbyshire Recovery Partnership and the East Midlands Gambling Harms Service – and it's where the journey to recovery often begins.

Whether you're looking for help yourself, worried about someone else, or calling as a professional, The Hub is here to listen.

A day in the life of a Hub worker is unpredictable, fast-paced, and full of variety. No two calls are the same. The team is brilliant at adapting, offering a listening ear, encouragement, and motivation – whatever the situation.

For many, The Hub is their first ever contact with an addiction service. Some callers may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, ashamed, or in crisis. Others may share thoughts of su***de.

The Hub team is trained to respond with care, empathy, and professionalism – helping people feel heard, supported, and safe while guiding them to the right service.

It’s more than just a phone call – it’s a vital first connection that could change a life. 💙

If you’re affected by alcohol or substance use, whether it’s your own or someone else’s, we’re here to help. Call us on 01246 206514. We're open Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm. Visit our website: www.daas.uk.com

🤧We are seeing an increase in respiratory illness throughout our hospital and community.

😷If you are displaying any signs of a cold, flu or respiratory illness and need to attend the hospital, then please wear a surgical mask when on site to help us protect our most vulnerable patients. Mask stations are situated around the hospital.

☎️If you do have a respiratory illness and wish to visit a loved one on our wards then please contact the nurse in charge for advice before you visit.

💙Thank you for helping us protect our patients and colleagues.

🤧Great care doesn’t begin at our front door or at the end of a bed – for us it’s also about supporting our community to manage their conditions at home and get better sooner.

⚠️Today, our services are under pressure and we are asking our community to they need if they are feeling under the weather.

👀ED is not always the best place to be. If you have a life threatening or emergency condition, or if you have deteriorated rapidly, then you should absolutely be in the department and being seen by our clinicians. However, if your condition is less urgent, you’d probably be better off being seen by clinicians in one of the other places, faster.

🩺You see, here in ED, we prioritise patients on clinical need and our most poorly patients will be seen by a clinician in one of our specialist areas: Majors, Resus or in our Ambulance Assessment Area. Children have a specific paediatric area, designed to keep them entertained and as calm as possible whilst they wait to be seen.

🚑These areas are behind the main waiting area so, even though the initial ambulatory (walk in) area may not look busy, it is likely that, behind the doors, there are patients needing specialist care having suffered a medical episode or trauma and our clinicians will be supporting them to ensure that they are stabilised and treated as quickly as possible.

⏰So, if your condition doesn’t need emergency treatment you may wait longer to see someone – and get back home.

➡️Please consider using alternative services for non-emergency health issues:

✅ Self-care: Manage minor ailments at home.
✅ Pharmacy: Get expert advice and over-the-counter treatments.
✅ GPs: Schedule an appointment for ongoing health concerns.
✅ NHS 111: Call or visit online for urgent medical advice.
✅ Urgent Treatment Centres: Urgent medical help when it’s not a life-threatening emergency.

💙 Please - it could help you get the treatment you need, in a place that is right for you.

Thank you.
