Migraine awareness week is aimed at increasing awareness about migraines, the impact migraines can have on a person's day to day living and to remove the stigma associated with such conditions.

Migraines are chronic and often debilitating sometimes leading to isolation and negative effects on mental health. The impact of migraines extends to work, education and home.

Self help measures might include:

Gratitude: Falling in love with everything you already have 🤍

Today I'm feeling grateful for family and friends.

It's been a really good busy week having lots of positive interactions with family and friends.

My mum celebrated her birthday, I've enjoyed a delicious meal and catch up with a great friend and a day pampering at the salon with my daughter before her return to school.

I've loved spending quality time with the special people in my life, it's brightened my week and created some wonderful memories.

Being grateful for the small things, the big things and everything in-between can help us to live a happy and fulfilling life 🤍

Taking smaller steps makes the goal feel more manageable, it creates a clear path and is easier to integrate into a routine.

The more that's achieved, the more satisfaction and motivation is experienced, this motivation helps to maintain goal oriented behaviours.

Smaller steps taken over a longer period of time prevents burnout and can result in big successful change.
