Brings a whole new meaning to role model ❤️
Children look to safe adults for ways to regulate in times when they are experiencing dysregulation. This doesn’t mean that as adults we have to be ‘perfect’ within the activation, it means we need to be authentic. Modelling that all emotions are normal and that we can integrate them safely.

How empowering to have an adult who meets you where you are, joins you in your journey and trusts you know which parts of yourself need attention 🥰 no questions and directions, just curiosity and growth. ❤️

Myth Busting…..
Talking doesn’t equal healing for many people, particularly children. Feeling, becoming curious about reactions, movement and connecting to others all foster healing when done in a safe environment.
Safety and connection is essential to healing. Always.

I discovered Eva Lootz on a recent trip to Madrid, her work “Making as if Wondering: So What Is This?” displayed in the Museo Reina Sofía speaks of art being a way of brushing against the psyche, making the subconscious conscious through the bending and stretching of her elbow, drawings being a reflection of her mind, whilst also using mediums such as water and sand… it spoke to me and my practice in ways I didn’t anticipate. Eva Lootz…. Now my favourite artist 👩🏻‍🎨
