Busy day of food prep ready for our 5th retreat of our time to shine project with Get up keep going CIC Sharon Bailey Bolton u3a Mandy Worsley Chetham Farm Retreat The Calm Mind Consultancy.

On Thursday 18 u3a member will be doing some painting with from me at the paint in the morning and going for a walk to Turton Tower in the afternoon. Fulled by homemade soup, cakes and more.

Another amazing day as part of the time to shine Bolton CVS funded year long project to bring calm and care to Bolton u3a members of our community.

Todays self-love event started with some mirror works, followed by yoga and then after a lovely homemade lunch we ended the day with oracular acupuncture with Neicey Quigley amazing holistic therapy practitioner.

The feedback we are receiving is blowing us away, people are getting so much from these events for their emotional health and wellbeing.

They say yesterday was blue Monday, but here at the circle of inspirational calm we were singing away the January blues 💙.

This is our 3rd retreat day funded by Boltoncvs in collaboration with Bolton u3a Get up keep going CIC Chetham Farm Retreat The Calm Mind Consultancy.

And everyone definitely left in high spirits with smiles, laughter and new friendships formed.

These events aim to get our older community of bolton out of their house and meeting with like minded people, experience new things and combat isolation and loneliness- and yesterday was the perfect experience.

Alongside the singing we did breathwork, yoga, affirmations and handmassge with a take home strategies to carry on with long after the day is over.

What a fabulous 2nd retreat day as part of our “Time to shine” funded programme.Bolton CVS

Today 16 ladies attended a chocolate making workshops, yoga, sound and mindfulness retreat day Chetham Farm Retreat The Calm Mind Consultancy.

Facilitated by Mandy Worsley and Get up keep going CIC with volunteers from Bolton u3a

The ladies left feeling calm and connected and with some tips for carrying on that calm feeling through the busy Christmas period. We ended the day with a mindful breathing practice and hand massage with beautiful tropic hand cream.

Just one of the amazing messages we’ve already received following our 1st Time to Shine retreat day.

This has been funded by Bolton CVS and it is already making a measurable difference. We can’t wait to see what a full year of this amazing project will bring.

Today has been the 1st of 10 funded retreat days to run over the next 12 months in partnership with Get up keep going CIC Bolton u3a Chetham Farm Retreat The Calm Mind Consultancy.

We had a fabulous day of calm on the farm for retired clients in our community.

Thanks to Flower Buddy for a floral Christmas workshop, Sharon Bailey for her meditation sessions and Mandy Worsley for the sound relaxation and yummy food.

Thanks so our volunteers Debbie and Steven who kept us all going with cups of tea and log fires amongst many other things 🙏🏼
