Positive thinking is a skill and allows us to literally change how we see the world

As we train ourselves to recognise what has gone well, what is good, we begin to shift our perspective and this has such a massive impact on how we experience life

So, while its easy to focus on whats not good, and life will always give us problems that we can focus on, find what balances it out, what is good, what has gone well, even if it's just the slightest glimpses

What we value, what we focus on, the patterns we see in the world, changes what experience we have

Your brain is constantly filtering in and out information all the time

And how we use our language changes a lot of how that filtering takes place

So the more we take about problems, the more we see and experience them

And the more we focus on whats good, the more we'll notice the good around us

Its a worthwhile practice, each day, to start describing whats been good, using your language to reflect on and process those things l, and over time, to see how much your awareness shifts

A bloody cold walk up Pendle Hill first thing this morning, the kid did absolutely amazing, didn't stop once on the way up, all those Sunday afternoon walks have paid off!!

Getting ready for her first mountain in the spring!

All this walking has been great for out physical and mental health and has been a great way to ensure that were spending time together achieving something, and proving that effort pays off

Today marks the Chinese New Year and entering the Year of the Fire Horse

My friend said it was a year of Kick Ass Activity and creativity, which google confirmed as the Fire Horse Year symbolises taking action, making bold decisions and embracing change

That all sounds really positive to me!

And at Horwich Hypnotherapy, it's all about helping people to embrace healthy change and taking action

These changes can be in so many areas of of our lives and small shifts often lead to massive movements over time

The stories that we use to describe ourselves, our lives, the world around us, changes how we filter the information our brain is taking in
