Ode to my slimming World members past, present and future:

I don't have a magic wand. I don't have a crystal ball.
I don't have three wishes, in fact I don't have any magic at all.

I can't make you thin, or even a little bit slim.
I can't make you excercise, or go to the gym.

But I’m willing to support you in anyway that I can
By coming to group and staying on plan.

Through good times and bad, I'll walk by your side,
My heart full of hope and bursting with pride

Every challenge you face, every up and down,
Your group is the place where I can be found.

I promise to guide you, never upset or desert you,
My commitment is strong, that’s definitely true

To target we'll travel, and rejoice at the end,
I'm just me, your caring consultant and hopefully friend.

DEAR RE-JOINING MEMBER
It's the start of possibly the busiest week of the year and I just wanted to add something to the mix. This post is for all you members out there who are 'thinking' of rejoining in Bolton or Farnworth or anyone's SW group this and next week.

And in 'thinking' I mean you saying to yourself "oh my goodness, I haven't been in ages, and I have put all the weight I lost back on, I have rejoined so many times now, I am a disgrace, a loser, I'm terrified that they will think I am pathetic".

These feelings are what keep us down but rest assured that in our, and EVERY single Slimming World group across the land, that you will be welcomed back with a smile and open arms like you're an old friend. And MOST importantly there is no shame, blame or humiliation (as these are dirty words in our world)

So, re-joining members everywhere, pick yourself up, dust yourself off and prove to yourself (as nobody else really matters) what you're made of and who knows, 2022 could be the year of your life!

We know that there’s something extra special about being together in a Slimming World group, and we’re over the moon to be able to welcome you again 🤗

We also know that lockdown made it difficult to focus on weight loss – and understandably so. From the practical obstacles like bare supermarket shelves to the emotional strain that we all felt, it’s been an especially challenging time ❤️
