TRIAGE FORM UPDATE

Starting Monday, 20th October, medical triage forms will only be available to complete from 8:00 AM.

Admin and routine care forms remain available throughout the practice’s opening hours.

If you have a new medical issue or worsening symptoms, you must complete a medical triage form, not an admin or routine care form.

Please share this information with family or friends who may not use social media.

📞 Important Update: New Phone System Launching Tomorrow! ☎️

Starting tomorrow, we will begin upgrading our phone system. This new system includes a call-back feature, designed to help reduce wait times and make reaching us much easier and more convenient.

Here’s what you can expect:
✅ Shorter waiting times on calls
✅ The option to receive a call back instead of staying on hold
✅ A smoother, more reliable phone experience overall.

Please be patient with our reception team throughout the day as they adapt to this new technology, it’s a big change for all of us, and your understanding means a lot.

People in Westhoughton Bolton will be offered NHS Lung Cancer Screening this Autumn 2025.

The lung health checks will be available to people who are current OR former cigarette or sh**ha smokers aged 55-74.

The mobile clinic will be based at Tesco, Hindley, Cross Street, Hindley, WN2 3AT on Monday 22 September.

Perinatal Mental Wellbeing Group in Westhoughton

NEST is a perinatal support group based in Westhoughton that supports parents and carers whatever the need. It is run by MhIST (Mental Health Independent Support Team), a charity supporting people in Bolton for over 30-years.

We can support people struggling with low moods, anxious thoughts, worries through pregnancy and beyond. We can signpost to other groups and agencies that can help with practical needs for you and your home. We want to tackle loneliness, help with mental health worries, helping with socialising and meeting new people or just bringing your friends along with you to encourage your journey with your baby and child. Our aim is to help your Nurturing journey with your baby and child, by Encouraging you with Support to help you Thrive.

💉✨ Flu vaccines 2025

➡️ Pregnant women and children aged 2–3 years are now being invited for their flu jabs.
📅 Other eligible groups will be contacted from 1st October 2025.

📢 No need to call – we’ll be in touch with all eligible patients within the next few weeks.

After you submit a triage form, one of our GP’s will review your case. If your situation is deemed urgent, you can expect to be contacted on the same working day. For non-urgent cases, you may receive a call within 48 hours.

Please ensure your phone is readily available after submitting the form so that you can promptly respond to any communication from our team. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
