We are now closed for Christmas and of course the apprentices 1st birthday.
Big thank you to everyone who has supported us this year, and worked around my (well Blake’s) schedule. We will be going back to normal hours in the new year, so there will be a little more flexibility.
We will re-open 6th January, so any messages/bookings will be responded to then.
Thanks again for your continued support and have a lovely Christmas and New year.

📣 I’m back 📣
Meet the new apprentice, Blake. She is doing amazing and therefore I will be returning to work sooner than expected from maternity leave.
I will be offering limited appointments each week while I ease myself back into juggling work and a 9 week old baby, so bare with me if I don’t respond straight away.
If you have any sporting injuries or are in need of a sports massage then drop me a message and we will arrange an appointment that suits us both.
Look forward to seeing everyone again soon!

Emily 😁

Everyone who has requested plans should have them by now, if you were expecting rehab plans and haven’t received them, please let me know ASAP.
Finally, i hope you all have a lovely Christmas and New Year, and I look forward to seeing you all in 2024 🎇

November - 7th, 8th, 13th, 15th, 20th, 21st, 27th and 28th.
December - 4th, 5th, 11th and 12th. Limited appointments.

Osteoarthritis 🦵🏽
Osteoarthritis is a degenerative condition that causes joints to become stiff and painful. It most commonly affects the knee and hip joint.
Main symptoms of OA include:
📌 Pain
📌 Swelling
📌 Tenderness
❌ Many people are told that exercise will harm their joints and are discouraged to do such activities.
✅ It is important to progress gradually, and and respect symptoms you may have, however under a carefully guided rehabilitation programme exercises can actually improve the health of the cartilage.
Strengthening the muscles around the joint will actually help offload and reduce stress on the cartilage and other sensitive areas. 💪🏽
Not all exercises will be the same for each individual so make sure your plan is tailored to yourself and your own symptoms!
Contact us today for your own individual programme tailored specifically to you!

Rehab progression 💪🏽🦵🏽🦶🏽
A lot of people think they can just return to training (RTT) or sport as soon as they feel better, however this is where most people FAIL and RE-INJURE themselves because they haven’t progressed through the stages of rehab correctly.
The above picture is an example of an ankle injury and the stages of progression.
You must remember that even when you have RTT, it DOES NOT mean you are fit for games straight away. Returning to training is still part of the final progressions.
Generally you would want to RTT non-contact, then gradually build up to contact and full training, then progress to games.
If you have any questions or if you’re currently injured and are wondering when to return to sport or training then drop me a message and we will help.
