Safe Haven Bolton

Safe Haven Bolton Providing person-centred, recovery-focused support for mental health & wellbeing

Seeing a growing need for specialist support around mental health and wellbeing in the Bolton area, we formed our organisation to provide person-centred support, with a focus on recovery to individuals affected by mental ill-health and their families. Built from the ground up, with a management team consisting of a psychologist and social worker, both of whom have extensive knowledge and experience working in mental health. We decided that we wanted to provide a service which not only offers holistic support like no other, but also gives back to our community to improve the lives of others.

💬 Time to Talk Day 💙

Today is Time to Talk Day, a reminder of how powerful a simple conversation can be. Talking about mental health helps break down stigma, builds understanding, and lets people know they’re not alone.

You don’t need to have the perfect words just being there, listening, and checking in can make a real difference. For some, opening up is the first step towards getting the support they need.

Let’s keep the conversation going. 💗
Because talking saves lives.

Today is World Cancer Day, a reminder that cancer doesn’t only affect the body it touches the mind and heart too.

To anyone living with cancer, supporting a loved one, grieving, or carrying fear and uncertainty your feelings matter. It’s okay to feel overwhelmed, anxious, exhausted, or low. These emotions are real, and you don’t have to carry them alone.

At Safe HavenBolton, we believe mental health care is an essential part of overall health. Whether you’re facing illness, supporting someone who is, or struggling silently with your own mental wellbeing, we are here to listen and support you with compassion and care.

💙 Strength looks different for everyone.
💗 Asking for help is strength too.
🤍 You are not alone.

This World Cancer Day, let’s stand together for awareness, for support, and for hope.

If this speaks to you or someone you love, please reach out or share. Support can change everything.

✨ We’re back! ✨
Our Mental Health Group at Bolton Library is running again this week after being cancelled last Tuesday, and we’d love to see you there.

🗓 Every Tuesday
⏰ 11:30am – 1:30pm
📍 Bolton Library

This week’s activity: 🎭
We’ll be making masks and gently exploring the idea of masking — looking at:
• what we show the world on the outside
• and the feelings, thoughts, needs, and strengths we hold inside

It’s a creative, supportive session focused on self-awareness, emotional expression, and compassion — for ourselves and for others.

💬 No pressure to share
🎨 You don’t need to be “arty”
💛 Just come as you are

All are welcome.
Join us for support, connection, and a safe space to be yourself.
