Did you know that deep breathing exercises can help to reduce feelings of stress and anxiety 🤍

During an aromatherapy massage I'll ask you to take a nice deep breath in through your nose, hold for a few seconds and then slowly breathe out through your mouth. This is repeated several times allowing you to let go of any stress that you may be carrying.

When we take a deep breath in, our chest and lower abdomen expands. Sometimes we refer to this as belly breathing, which is the correct way we use to breathe as a baby.

The next time you're feeling stressed or even in pain, if you notice only your chest expands when you breathe in, maybe try some belly breathing and see what a difference it makes for you ✨

Massage is great for relaxation and releasing stress, however, having a regular massage also increases flexibility, range of motion and can help to keep pain away.

Blood contains lots of healing nutrients, during massage blood flows to the areas being worked on and nourishes the muscular and skeletal cells.

Regular massage can be beneficial for overworked muscles, posture, aches and pains, cramp, degenerative conditions that cause inflammation as well as our emotional and mental wellbeing.

I'd recommend eating a light lunch before your massage to prevent feeling hungry and light headed.

Eating too much before your massage is likely to leave you feeling uncomfortable.

If your preference is to eat after your massage, I would recommend waiting atleast 1 hour. When we're relaxed our digestion slows down, waiting an hour will enable better digestion 🤍
