Do you have Diabetes or are you 'at risk' of developing Diabetes??

If so you may be interested in attending one of our Diabetes Peer Sessions here at the surgery.

We hold these sessions at surgery on a Saturday morning every quarter. They are held as a group session with our Practice Nurse, Health Care Assistant and our Health Improvement Practitioners.
The staff will help with more understanding of your condition, advice with eating and food preparation and other ways of improving your overall health and well being.

We have success stories to share with you from patients where our help and advice have made a difference to their condition. Why not come along and get ideas and suggestions from them on how they achieved success.

Give your details to reception and one of our Health Care Professionals will be in-touch.

Did you know: every year in Greater Manchester, around 4,500 people have a stroke which can result in death. Stroke is also leading cause of disability. The signs might be less dramatic, painful or obvious than you might expect. You may not be able to raise an arm, struggle to smile, or have slurred speech. Whether it is a friend, loved one or even a passer-by, any sign of a stroke is always an emergency, so dial 999 immediately. Acting F.A.S.T. (face, arm, speech, time) on any sign of a stroke ensures faster access to treatments at our three specialist Hyper Acute Stroke Units in Greater Manchester.

The campaign aims to increase people's knowledge of the signs of a stroke and to dial 999 immediately in response to any sign – even if it doesn’t seem like much.

Please don't hesitate to use the link provided to download the campaign pack:

This campaign highlights that a stroke is a medical emergency and the public are urged to take the below symptoms seriously and call 999 immediately if they notice any single one of them in themselves or others.
