We are proud to welcome Mr Rohan Sawant – Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon to Freedom Vision Poole.

With extensive experience in ophthalmology, Mr Sawant specialises in cataract surgery, premium lens implantation, and complex cases, alongside oculoplastic procedures, paediatric ophthalmology, laser treatments, ocular surface care, and intravitreal injections. He combines technical skill with a patient-centred approach, delivering high-quality care across both routine and advanced procedures.

Trained internationally, Mr Sawant has held key leadership and training roles, including Medical Director of an Eye Hospital in Ethiopia, where he trained local ophthalmologists. He is also an Examiner and member of the Surgical Specialty Board for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Known for his dedication to surgical excellence and education, he brings expertise, innovation, and passion to every patient interaction.
