We’re proud to share that Momenta Connect has been nominated for Market Entrant of the Year at the Education Investor Awards 🎉

This recognition reflects the work our teams are doing alongside schools, families and local authorities to help pupils facing barriers to education reconnect with learning.

From attendance support to diagnostics, therapies and online learning, our goal has always been the same: to help children feel understood, supported and able to engage with education again.

We’re incredibly proud of the team and grateful to the schools and partners we work with every day.

🌈 Neurodiversity CelebrationWeek is a reminder that children experience the world in different ways.

Neurodivergent children may communicate, process information or respond to their environment differently. These differences are not deficits, but they can make everyday school experiences feel more challenging without the right understanding and support.

Every child deserves to feel accepted, understood and supported to learn in a way that works for them. 🤗

If your child is finding school overwhelming, struggling to attend or feeling misunderstood, support is available and you do not have to navigate it alone.

Can the right support help strengthen school attendance? 🌟

Wildridings Primary School recently shared how working with our Attendance team has supported positive change:

“We wouldn’t be where we are without this support. Our Attendance Co-ordinator works closely with staff and parents, including home visits, and has raised the profile of attendance across the school.”

From positive conversations with families to creative rewards and visible celebration of attendance, small consistent steps have helped build a stronger culture around showing up.

Change takes time, partnership and trust. It is possible.

If you would like to explore how attendance support could help your setting, we are here to help.

Meet Hannah, Specialist Speech and Language Therapist.

💚 What she does
Hannah has extensive experience supporting children and young people with SEMH and speech, language and communication needs. She has played a key role in supporting the roll out of Momenta 360, helping children who are experiencing emotionally based school avoidance to rebuild confidence, re engage with learning and take steps back towards school.

💚 Why her work matters
Hannah works closely with young people and their families to understand what is making school feel hard. She helps identify the factors that are keeping a child from attending and supports families and schools to make sense of these challenges in a compassionate, practical way.

💚 What she brings to Momenta
Through Momenta 360, Hannah brings together speech and language therapy with wider therapeutic input, working collaboratively with psychotherapy and occupational therapy colleagues to create holistic, bespoke support pathways. She believes strongly in empowering young people and families to set goals based on strengths and what matters most to them.

Hannah has particularly valued working with families at the very start of their Momenta 360 journey, helping them feel understood, supported and hopeful about next steps.

We’re proud to have Hannah as part of the Momenta Connect team.

In case you missed it, our Clinical Director Kieran Lord recently shared his thoughts with SEND Network 💛

Long waiting times for autism and ADHD assessments can leave families feeling uncertain about what to do next. But support does not have to pause while you wait.

In the blog, Kieran explores how schools and services can:

💡 Respond to a child’s needs now, not just after a diagnosis
💡 Put practical, early support in place
💡 Help reduce uncertainty during long waiting periods

It’s a reassuring reminder that understanding and action can begin before labels are confirmed.

What needs to shift if we are serious about removing barriers to education? 🎥

Hear from our Managing Director, Emma Sanderson, as she shares her perspective on the pressures facing schools and families, and why acting early matters in our Leadership Briefing: What Your School Needs to Know About Attendance.

She reflected on:

✅ Responding to need rather than waiting for labels
✅ The importance of listening and never assuming
✅ Why partnership strengthens outcomes
✅ How joined up support can stabilise pupils sooner

It is a grounded reflection on leadership, accountability and practical inclusion in real settings.

Are you waiting for answers about why your child is finding things hard?

When a child is struggling and there are no clear answers, it can feel unsettling for everyone involved. Children often sense that uncertainty too, which can make everyday challenges feel even bigger.

Understanding a child’s needs gives adults a shared starting point and helps children feel understood and supported. 💖

For many families diagnosis can bring relief and a clearer route to the right support.

Have you heard about the Government’s SEND White Paper but aren’t sure what it means for your child? 💭

The White Paper sets out proposals aimed at improving early support, consistency and accountability in SEND provision.

While policy takes time to embed, the focus remains the same: helping children receive the right support at the right time.

We’ve shared a clear summary of the White Paper and what it may mean in practice for schools and families.
