👋🏻 Hello everyone 👋🏻

Here is an update of my current clinic opening hours.

CURRENT CLINIC OPENING HOURS:

🔸 Tuesday 10:00am - 6:00pm
🔸 Thursday 10:00am - 6:00pm
🔸 Friday 10:00am - 5:00pm

During these clinic hours I can offer sports massage, injury assessment and treatments, private pilates sessions (1-1 or 1-2) or private stretching sessions (1-1 or 1-2). Pilates can be for health/fitness or for a specific injury or help with postural correction or also pre and post natel pilates. Currently I am not doing group pilates classes.

Hello 👋🏻 Just wanted to let everyone know I’m now back in work officially after my maternity leave 🙌🏻 so if you yourself need any treatment or know anybody else that does please get in touch 📞 07711064519

For the time being im going to be in the clinic on Tuesdays and Thursdays mainly. However, I can do other evenings or some weekends if needed.

I am looking into starting back up with my pilates/stretching classes soon too. If you are interested in returning to a class or trying a class for the first time please get in touch.

One of the best exercises for correcting posture 👌
Breast srtoke is one of my favourite exercises in pilates, it really does work all those muscles that become lazy with too much sitting and slouching, which I think most of us are guilty of nowadays 🙈

Here is the awesome Liam demonstrating a Level 2 Shoulder Bridge Exercise 👌
🟢 The Shoulder Bridge is one of my favourite pilates exercises that can really challenge your whole body 😊 One of the reasons I love it is because it really targets the areas that become weak and lazy due to day to day life, where we tend to sit... a lot!!! 🧑‍💻🤳😬 Obviously we sit on our bums, so yes i'm talking about your bum muscles, they are relaxed and switch off in sitting so can become very weak over time if we don't exercise them. So if this sounds like you, this excercise will help! Also ladies if you want to work and tone your gluts to get that 🍑 bum you have always wanted then add this exercise in to your workout if you haven't already 👌
🟣 The Shoulder Bridge Exercise is an absolutely amazing exercise to activate not only the Gluteal (Buttock) muscles but also the Adductor (Inner Thigh) muscles. You do this by squeezing your knees together on a block, ball or cushion. Using a variation of equipment or modifications to the exercise you can build strength and endurence of these muscles 💪
🟠 This exercise is brilliant to include in the Rehabilitation for clients with Low Back Pain and Pelvic problems such as Sacroiliac Joint (SIJ) Pain or Disfunction and P***c Symphysis Dysfunction (PSD). However, the correct activation of muscles, level and modification of the exercise must be applied for each individual when in pain.
🔵 This exercise also helps to mobilise the Lumbar and Thoracic spine. This is great as creating individual movement of the joints in the spine helps to reduce stiffness and thus, pain which will keep the spine nice and healthy and keep you feeling happy.
🌟🌟🌟 And as the almighty inventor of pilates once said "YOU ARE ONLY AS YOUNG AS YOUR SPINE IS FLEXIBLE" Joseph Pilates 🌟🌟🌟
🔴 DO NOT do this exercise:
▪️if you experience acute shoulder or neck pain.
▪️If you are experiencing low back pain (especially a disc problem).
▪️If you are pregnant at 18 weeks or more.
▪️In the first 8 weeks post natel.
🌟🌟🌟 JUST REMEMBER TO SQUEEZE YOUR GLUTS WHEN DOING THIS EXERCISE🌟🌟🌟

😷 COVID 19 UPDATE 😷
Hi Everyone, hope you are all well and staying safe. I just wanted to clarify the status of the clinic and studio since the new National Lockdown rules given on Monday 4th January.
Following government guidelines and also guidelines confirmed by my Insurance and Governing body BASRaT
THE CLINIC: is alowed to stay OPEN for a treatment for an 'injury, condition or healthcare need'.
A routine recovery sports massage is not classed as any of the above, therefore no routine sports massages can be performed... So you will have to make use of your foam roller for now 😜
THE STUDIO: will remain CLOSED and all classes remain online for the time being.
I am hoping to put on some extra classes as I did last lockdown. Plus I would like to start some new STRETCHING and FOAM ROLLING CLASSES. If you would be interested in any of the above PILATES, STRETCHING OR FOAM ROLLING CLASSES please comment or send me a message then I can find out the best days/times that suit you.

Here is the gorgeous Louise performing an oblique roll up pilates exercise 👌
This helps to retrain the correct sitting posture and is great for mobilising the lumbar and thoracic spine. It will strengthen the abdominals and obliques, including the whole of the Anterior Oblique Sling. Go Louise!! 👍😊
