Here is the awesome Liam demonstrating a Level 2 Shoulder Bridge Exercise 👌
🟢 The Shoulder Bridge is one of my favourite pilates exercises that can really challenge your whole body 😊 One of the reasons I love it is because it really targets the areas that become weak and lazy due to day to day life, where we tend to sit... a lot!!! 🧑💻🤳😬 Obviously we sit on our bums, so yes i'm talking about your bum muscles, they are relaxed and switch off in sitting so can become very weak over time if we don't exercise them. So if this sounds like you, this excercise will help! Also ladies if you want to work and tone your gluts to get that 🍑 bum you have always wanted then add this exercise in to your workout if you haven't already 👌
🟣 The Shoulder Bridge Exercise is an absolutely amazing exercise to activate not only the Gluteal (Buttock) muscles but also the Adductor (Inner Thigh) muscles. You do this by squeezing your knees together on a block, ball or cushion. Using a variation of equipment or modifications to the exercise you can build strength and endurence of these muscles 💪
🟠 This exercise is brilliant to include in the Rehabilitation for clients with Low Back Pain and Pelvic problems such as Sacroiliac Joint (SIJ) Pain or Disfunction and P***c Symphysis Dysfunction (PSD). However, the correct activation of muscles, level and modification of the exercise must be applied for each individual when in pain.
🔵 This exercise also helps to mobilise the Lumbar and Thoracic spine. This is great as creating individual movement of the joints in the spine helps to reduce stiffness and thus, pain which will keep the spine nice and healthy and keep you feeling happy.

🔴 DO NOT do this exercise:
▪️if you experience acute shoulder or neck pain.
▪️If you are experiencing low back pain (especially a disc problem).
▪️If you are pregnant at 18 weeks or more.
▪️In the first 8 weeks post natel.
