Alan & Betty is two of many elderly people in Bolton who is struggling with loneliness and frail health. Most of whom live alone and are feeling forgotten🥺

Right now we have had to close our referral form as we have 51 older people across Bolton are waiting for someone like you to reach out, show up, and simply be there 💔

If you're struggling mentally, just know that so many others are too....you are not alone. If your struggle is that you haven't got anything to give (or not as much as you would like) remember "the day" is over in around 15 minutes, we get up with the little ones they open their gifts, eat breakfast and we are back to "I'm bored" and parents everywhere are fuming at the children they spent a fortune on, that they bored from the mound of gifts they received, then we look for something to watch (a Christmas film maybe) and start cooking dinner, there are many variations of this but they all have pretty much the same outcome. So pleased don't pin too much on "the day"or what you overthink your failings are...you are not alone, reach out if you need too, there are lots of helplines and we are always here to listen and guide you to the right help for you.

It was an honor and a privilege to be a part of the 1yr celebrations of Bolton Manbassadors. I managed to avoid the camera (thank god) but I was there as part of the Bolton Manbassadors committee and representing Whalley's Woodland Walk, it has grown so much...especially over the last year and it will keep growing year after year 💚💚💚
