This week we strengthen the knees !
The knees are the biggest joint in the body , and normally when an injury occurs the knee is never quite the same .
Regular maintenance is required .
In yoga we listen to our body, and notice areas of stiffness and immobility and don’t do anything that hurts.
Many injuries are caused by weak quadriceps, hamstrings & glutes … so this week we focus on postures that build strength in the area surrounding the knees and balances that promote joint stability.
Essential oils can help Inflammation in the knees , wintergreen , tumeric , frankincense, peppermint and more .
And hydration and diet .. foods like oily fish , berries, nuts , seeds and olive oil . ( basically a Mediterranean diet ) 🤗weight management and stretching every day . Make yoga a habit 😃
Some knee problems may be more serious and in that case seek help , but the looking after your knees still applies. 🥰
