Our Contribution We are proud to be associated with the Iconic Bricks entry into the Bordon Soapbox Races on down Chalet Hill in the town. Reg Bettles of the Bordon Men's Shed built the bodywork, complete with the Lego theme, which raced in those colours. Unfortunately, it didn't win, but at least it took part. Good news: Taylor Wimpey, building houses locally have offered us a grant to spend on tools etc. Good result, thanks TW.

The Men's Shed programme is going well. Now we have planning permission and no requirement for building regs, we can wait for the grant to be authorised. Hopefully it will come through soon, and we can start getting our new shed up and running.

The Men's Shed continues apace. Having gained planning permission, we now have building regs approval, so it all hinges on getting the EHDC grant, which has been applied for. Watch this space!

Back in March, the UK Men's Shed Association (UKMSA) asked members to enter a competition for free Ronseal products. Apparently, Ronseal does this every year and gives away thousands of pounds worth of their products to Men's Sheds. Bordon Mens Shed applied for products and subsequently was successful in being one of 150 Mens Sheds to be recipients of their generosity....

Planning Permission! We have now been granted Planning Permission from EHDC. This is temporary and must be renewed in five years time. But that is just the start; we now need to get the existing storage containers moved and to buy the site cabins to be used as our workshop. But all this means we are on the way!

Planning permission has been granted to carry on with the completion of our project to build a new Men's Shed in Bordon. However, this permission depends on a noise impact assessment by a professional company. The cost will be in the order of £700, but it will be money well spent if it gives us the requisite planning permission. We hope to employ Sound Planning Ltd of Farnham to do the work....

We're getting somewhere! EHDC have given us planning permission which will be temporary for 5 years, if we can provide a noise assesmemt by a professional company, which
we have in progress with Sound Planning Ltd of Farnham. This should be done soon and we can get on with the next stage, getting the cabins in place.
