Knees are complex things and as a result, knee pain can have many causes.

If you do experience pain in your knee try to put as little weight as possible on it and use an ice pack (or bag of frozen peas wrapped in a tea towel) on your knee for up to 20 minutes every 2 to 3 hours.

Should you still be experiencing pain, book yourself in so we can assess what’s going on before it gets much worse.

Damage to your central nervous system, including your brain and spinal cord, means that the messages from your brain are not reaching the affected parts of your body. This can result in loss of movement and sensation, uncoordinated movement, weak and floppy muscles, spasm and tremor.

It's good to have an awareness day, but I do wish we lived in a world where we didn't have to have one.
