ADHD+ Support (www.adhdplus.support) is a voluntary sector charitable organisation working with individuals with ADHD and the many co-existing and associated neurological conditions. The "Plus" indicated that we strive to provide the very best service to the community through raising awareness of the conditions, petitioning government and supporting families. We have a subsidiary service company A
DHD+ Services Ltd (www.adhdplus.services) which provides chargeable services privately and also to schools and local authority, for which all profits are put into ADHD+ Support. Disclaimer:
We look to provide practical information & advice for ADHD, but we are not doctors and cannot give medical advice. Our group is run by voluntary ADHD’ers and parents and all advice is based on personal knowledge and experience. We also do not hold responsibility for information on other pages or websites linked to in our posts. Our Aims
We aim to provide support for the range of co-existing conditions including Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Tourette Syndrome (TS), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and many other issues faced by individuals and families in the local area. We’re not experts however with so little support being available for any of these conditions we felt we should do what we can. We hope this page will be used by parents to ask queries on dealing with issues (please do not share private information) and for fellow ADHD or parents to provide explanations of things they have found work and are helpful. We also will provide information as appropriate which we believe will be helpful to parents, families and those with ADHD and co-existing conditions. We are an active, informative and friendly support group of parents/guardians/carers, those with ADHD/ASD, and anyone with an interest in helping those with ADHD and co-existing conditions. Whether you have an individual known to you with a diagnosis or looking into getting one you are welcome. We welcome teachers, medical professionals and anyone who would find the information we share helpful. We try to create a friendly and open environment which allows people to feel able to freely contribute; whether to share their concerns or to offer support and advice. Additionally meetings are run to try and ensure a positive and uplifting experience for all who attend; actively avoiding adding to any despair and frustration currently being experienced by those who attend. The support group specifically offers an ear, encouragement and confirmation that your experience is not unique and that you are not alone! Submission Rules:
We welcome individuals who appreciate and benefit from the knowledge we share to add comments and add to what we have posted in positive and mutually beneficial ways. We welcome members of our support group individuals to add useful information to this page. We of course reserve the right to remove any entries we feel does not match the science knowledge, recommendations or advice provided by leading professionals or the support group. We also politely ask that those who run their own pages to refrain from spamming our page. We will delete all submissions which are included on pages run by the individuals or groups.
