🏡Roof leaking-Maxwell Park Community Centre Needs Your Help!

For over 60 years, Maxwell Park Community Centre (formerly The Lynx) has been at the heart of Borehamwood. Built in 1963, it has provided a safe, welcoming space for generations of local people.

Today, more than 35 groups use the Centre every week — from children’s activities and community groups to adult classes, clubs, celebrations and training events. Every penny we receive goes straight back into maintaining and improving this vital not-for-profit community hub.

But now we urgently need your help.

Our lounge roof — patched up over decades — is beyond repair and must be replaced as soon as possible to keep the building safe and open. The estimated cost is £40,000.

Without this work, we risk losing a space that means so much to so many.

If you can donate, share, or simply help spread the word, you’ll be helping to protect Maxwell Park for future generations. And if we are fortunate enough to raise additional funds, we hope to install solar panels to reduce running costs and make the Centre more sustainable.

Come and join this award winning Baby & Child First Aid Class. This class will take place at our lovely venue

This class is suitable for Parents, Grandparents and Carers and on this class you will learn all the First Aid knowledge and skills required to keep your little ones safe. It will ensure that you are fully prepared for all the most common medical emergencies and give yourself the peace of mind you deserve.

Classes are friendly, relaxed and informal and will cover: CPR, Choking, Burns, Meningitis Awareness, Febrile Seizures, Bleeding, Head Bumps, Breaks and more…

All attendees will receive a Mini First Aid booklet and certificate of attendance which counts towards CPD points (Continuing Professional Development)

No babysitter? No problem! Pre crawling babies are welcome. 😊

Our hall is available on Saturdays from 12pm and can be used for Children’s Parties, Adult Parties, Wedding Receptions, Baby Showers, Anniversaries, Performances, Community Events, Fundraising, Charity Functions and other events.
