Yesterday I ‘assisted’ in a nail surgery to further my understanding of the procedure so when I refer patients on I can explain what happens. That’s a lot of kit for one toenail!! There’s strict protocol at all times keeping the patient safe and comfortable 👣 and ultimately a pain free solution to troublesome nails

This person has a deep painful apical corn. I’ve treated previously and was successful making them a toe prop to lift the tips of their toes off the ground. It worked very well until the device wore out so I’ve made a new one , after removing the pesky corn ! It is bulky at the moment but will mould to the shape of the foot in a day or so but still enough bulk to support under the toes , that are clawed putting pressure at the ends of the toes when waking . This person is partially sighted so doesn’t remove the device between my visits , I’ve made it so it will withstand showers , dry out and not cause any issues .

Another ‘corn’ with HPV involvement, often these are tricky to treat as there are a couple of things going on but the right diagnosis gives us the best chance of finding the correct treatment plan

Long standing painful Verrucas starting to respond to treatment 🤞😁 the best part is regardless wether they completely go or not this patient is comfortable for the first time in years and their hip pain has also disappeared !! 🥳🙌
