More than a third of people using screens more in lockdown reported eyesight changes, a study suggests.

We will remain available for all as normal for routine, essential and emergency eye care needs, services and throughout this lockdown. Including the provision of contact lenses, glasses and eyecare products such as drops and wipes.

We will continue to work on an appointment only basis only for the collection and fitting of spectacles. Please walk straight in if you have an appointment.

For the purchase of eyecare products, collection of contact lenses, repairs, advice or to make a booking please be aware we are working on a one in one out basis on the lower section of the practice floor.

We ask that people arrive at the time of their appointment as arriving too early reduces our capacity for footfall for the above services. Please attend your appointment alone unless you have a need to be chaperoned.

If you receive/have received a reminder letter for your routine eye examination, please be aware that if you do not wish to attend during the pandemic you may request that we send a second one at a later date.

For all urgent eye-care needs due to concerning symptoms such as sore or red eyes or any visual disturbance please call the Minor Eye Care Services triage telephone number on 0800 368 5152. At this time all such needs are to be triaged via this service, you may then ask to be directed towards us and we will then contact you to make a booking.

As always we are working within our stringent ‘Covid safe’ procedures to keep you and us safe.
