Are You aged 18 or over?
Do You hold a valid, full UK driving license, with no more than three penalty points?
Do you have access to a vehicle?
Are you prepared to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service Check?
Are you prepared to undertake occupational health screening?
Are you prepared to undertake our 4 Day CFR course? (Normally, Sun, Sat, Sun, Sun)
Based within YOUR Community Our CFRs are trained to provide life-saving treatment to patients in the vital first few minutes of an emergency until our ambulance crew arrives. If effective treatment is provided quickly, lives can be saved and disability reduced. This is especially true for heart attacks and medical conditions which have caused someone to lose consciousness.
When a 999 call is received in our Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), an ambulance response is dispatched. At the same time, a CFR on-call in the area can be alerted and asked to attend the incident to ensure that help reaches the patient as quickly as possible.

You will then be invited to an introduction / interview evening.
This will inform you of the equipment you will use, what is expected of you and how we support you to be an amazing CFR.
From here your DBS is submitted and we all have to wait......
Once all your documents are back, your trainer will be in touch with a course offer. (you will only get three offers)
You attend your course.
After you qualify you will join your local scheme and provide us with 20 on call hours each month. You will have a scheme meeting one evening bi monthly to keep you up to date and compliant as well as be there for your support.
You will Save Lives within your community and be apart of Yorkshire Ambulance Team.
