I Work at the GP surgery in Boscastle. While I was at work Thursday 10th someone has kindly done a hit and run on my car parked in the car park and didn't leave any information I know this was between 2pm and 5pm....long shot. But if anyone has any information or happen to have seen anything please can you let me know, I would be very greatful. My car is a grey mini cooper.

Practice Closure Afternoon – Thursday 13th February 2025

Bottreaux Surgery and Tintagel Medical Centre will be closed on the afternoon of Thursday 13th February 2025 between the hours of 13.00 and 18.30, this is the part of our sessions to allow for vital staff training, staff well being and planning of future services. Our doors will be closed and access to the dispensary will not be possible during this time.

If you have an urgent medical need during that time, and you can not wait until we re-open at 08.30 on Friday 14th February please call the surgery number as normal to be connected to a receptionist who will direct you accordingly.

Please remember to only use 999 if it is a medical emergency.

🚨 🚨 URGENT WARNING 🚨 🚨

IMPOSTER APPROACHING PATIENTS

We have been made aware of an incident in the east of Cornwall, where someone gained access to a patient's home by pretending to be a healthcare professional called Jerry, who said he was from the local surgery. He may have called beforehand to arrange the home visit.

We want our patients to be aware and to be vigilant in checking and ensure you always ask for ID before letting someone in your home, and ensure that people are who and what they say they are.

🚨🚨 URGENT NOTICE 🚨 🚨

Due to the declining weather conditions the practice has made the decision to close earlier than expected to allow staff and patients to get home safely.

Therefore Bottreaux Surgery will be closing today at 5pm. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

There will be a further update issued tomorrow morning when the practice can reassess the situation.

Remember if you need medical advice when the practice is closed call 111 who will be able to advise over the phone. Only in a emergency call 999.

IMPORTANT NOTICE - CHRISTMAS PRESCRIPTION ORDER DATES

If you need any repeat prescriptions for medication by Christmas to help you stay well we recommend that you get your order in by the following dates:

· If you need your prescription by 18th December, please order by 2nd December.

· If you need your prescription by 20th December, please order by 4th December.

· If you need your prescription by 23rd December, please order by 6th December.

ANY PRESCRIPTIONS ORDERED AFTER THESE DATES CANNOT BE GUARANTEED TO BE FULFILLED BEFORE CLOSING ON 24TH DECEMBER.

Due to the weather today the surgery has made the decision to close the practices.

Patients already booked have been contacted and those possible will have telephone consultations with clinicians.

Currently members of the team are working from home where possible so please bare with them while they try to manage queries.
